Randy Hill
(Monday-Friday - 3:00pm-7:00pm)
Randy Hill was born in a small town in Nebraska (population 83…I swear). Randy went to college at Arizona State University before starting his radio career which took him to Colorado Springs, Denver, Sacramento, Jacksonville, FL. and Nashville.
How long have you lived in Nashville? I moved to Nashville in 2001. I think I’m one of the few who came here NOT looking to become a country music star. I LOVE music, but unfortunately don’t have enough talent to sing or play the guitar.
Favorite Music: I love all types of music, but really enjoy country. If you look at my IPOD, you’ll find everything from George Strait and Hank Jr., to Eminem and Al Green. I even have a couple of John Denver songs on there.
Favorite Food: Mexican! When I first moved to Nashville, it was hard to find good authentic Mexican food. In the past few years, several good Mexican food restaurants have opened which has made my life more enjoyable.
Hobbies: I love football (both the Titans and Broncos), hockey (go Preds), playing golf, and sitting on the beach with my wife.
Guilty Pleasure: Naps! My wife and I have 5 kids who tend to run 5 different directions. Trying to keep all the balls in the air can be tiring and nothing is better than a nice nap on a Saturday afternoon.
What else: I am also a business owner. My wife and I own “Goin Postal” in Cool Springs. We are going into our 7th year of business. It’s both gratifying and maddening when you own and run your own business. Especially in today’s economy, it can really challenge who you are and what you stand for.
I really love what I do and radio has always been my passion. I love being able to talk to listeners, play great music, and hopefully make their day a little brighter.
